Flex Delivery Rate

Our FLEX delivery service is based on a $150.00/hr. flat cost trucking rate - this includes:

• Loading at the farm

• Arriving at your destination (has to be provided to us prior to delivery)

• Unloading at the same location and returning back to the original farm

• We can deliver up to 7 cubic yards of single soil mix for the cost of $150.00

  PROS:

• reliable, most economic delivery service to your door for PDX metro area only

• you do not have to be home

• if you live outside of our PDX delivery boundary lines, you could also set up FLEX if you have your neighbour willing to order soil at the same time (for Beaverton/Hillsboro/Damascus/Boring/Troutdale)

  CONS:

• max 7y of single soil mix can be delivered to your doorstep

• subject to 4% Flex delivery set up charge for credit/debit card processing, in order to book

• we can only deliver soil in a loose form, not in our super sacks

• Delivery slots are based on a first come first serve

If you have 7 yards or less, if you are flexible on your delivery day and time, you don’t want to be home and wait for delivery, this FLEX delivery to the Portland Metro area will be a perfect fit for you (we do not offer FLEX delivery to WA State)

Your soil order will be carefully separated, transported in our truck and delivered to you with another customer soil order who lives close to your area.

(WHY TO USE FLEX: more economic, for instance, on average our Standard Portland metro deliveries run between $220-$350 depending on customer exact delivery location)

All Flex deliveries have to be fully prepaid ahead of time of delivery. Once we receive your full payment, we will place you on our scheduling Board, and you will receive delivery notice from us between 12 to 48 hours prior to your delivery (via email, text or phone call).

You will not be able to request specific time and date for your FLEX delivery since we have to find you match in order to send our truck out. We usually find a proper match between 2-5 business days.

If you wish to avoid 4% processing fee, you could consider following:

A) Mail us your check or money order, and once is received and cleared, we will place you on our delivery scheduling board ASAP

B) Drop off your payment in person at the Worm Farm Portland location in Newberg OR.

For our Flex delivery, you are not required to be home. If you’re not available to meet the driver, we will need to have clear and visible, marked unloading spot (we will need you to provide us a few photos prior to your scheduled delivery please)

• The driver needs 12 feet wide space, and 15 feet air clearance for unloading- we will not be able to unload if any crossing wires, or long branches are running over your marked location, or if driveway is to narrow.

• The driver will also NOT unload on top of soft surfaces, uneven gravel or any kind of pavement areas. Truck wheels must stay on an improved surface.

• If we accommodate any requests to go off an improved surface, the customer is responsible for ANY costs associated with towing, damages and wait time.

• The WORM FARM PORTLAND, INC. is not responsible for damage beyond the curb. Delivery trucks are not allowed to drive off driveways.

STANDARD DELIVERY, TRUCK SIZEs & Rates

(choose your best truck size option for your delivery)

Our most popular STANDARD DELIVERY is made with our smallest 13 cubic yards truck and it is based on a $110.00/hourly trucking rate . Delivery cost will be prorated based on our hourly trucking rate, and your exact delivery address (please send us your exact drop off location).

You can order up to 3 different soil mixes and we will deliver (inquire with the office prior)

Delivery cost includes:

• Loading at the farm

• Arriving to your destination (exact address has to be provided to us prior to delivery)

• Unloading at the same location, and

• Returning back to the Worm Farm Portland, Newberg location

We can also deliver soil in our super sacks, with additional tote charge. Customer needs to be able to unload totes with his forklift or similar unloading heavy duty equipment.

Max load quantity in each tote is 2 yards of any soil mix. Fully loaded tote weight is approximately 1 ton.

Smaller Truckload

With our smallest truck we can deliver up to 13 cubic yards at the same time. We can also deliver you up to 3 different soil mixes in a same delivery.

We will gladly accept CODs- cash and checks (with proper ID) and for all major credit cards, we have a surcharge of 4.0 % for the processing fee.

With 15-ton-20- ton truck, we can deliver up to 20-24 cubic yards of single soil mix. The cost is this truck option is based on $150.00/hourly rate. Please confirm if you can accommodate this truck size delivery. This trucks are known as high side-end dump trucks (usually they haul heavy loads, such as gravel and rock)

Larger Truckload

For all other large semi-truck + belt Trailer (truck with a long, self unloading boxed trailer), and the cost is $170.00/hourly rate (please confirm if you can accommodate this size delivery, min of 100 feet safe turn area required))

• For all custom soil blend orders require 100% prepayment and 7 days lead time

• If you, or your contractor, ordered a load and/or truck size that cannot dump due to obstacles or an area too small for maneuvering, you will be charged the delivery fee

• If you, or your contractor, directs our delivery driver (or contracted driver) into a situation where the truck gets stuck and needs to be towed out, an hourly rate of $150/hr. will be charged plus ALL towing fees.
