Where do you get your compost?
The WFP partners with carefully selected compost suppliers throughout Oregon and Washington that share our commitment to quality, consistency, and sustainable growing practices. We source compost made from clean, organic-compliant ingredients suitable for organic gardening and organic production.
Over the years, we have evaluated numerous compost products and suppliers. Our current partners have consistently delivered the performance, reliability, and quality standards that our customers expect. The compost we use undergoes rigorous screening and quality-control processes, resulting in a cleaner and more uniform product.
Because of transportation costs, additional processing, and our emphasis on premium ingredients, the composts we select often cost more than conventional alternatives. We believe that exceptional soil begins with exceptional inputs.
Our commitment to clean sourcing means that we avoid GMOs, conventional agricultural by-products, pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, and sewage sludge, allowing us to provide premium soil blends and amendments for farms, gardens, and landscapes.
What soil do you recommend for my garden?
During busy season, the WFP keeps a wide selection of premium soil blends in stock to accommodate different growing goals, plant types, and site conditions. Choosing the right mix depends on what you are growing and the level of nutrients and drainage your project requires.
Our Organic 10% Mix is a versatile option for lawns, flower beds, ornamental landscapes, and other non-fruiting plants. For vegetable gardens, fruit-bearing trees, berries, and crops with moderate nutrient demands, we typically recommend our Organic 20% Mix.
Gardeners seeking a richer, more nutrient-dense blend may prefer one of our specialty mixes. Our Kelp Mycorrhiza Mix and Coco Coir blends are excellent choices for customers looking for improved drainage, enhanced root development, and customized growing conditions.
For existing gardens and landscapes, Wildwood Conditioner is an outstanding soil amendment designed to improve soil structure and long-term soil health. Customers looking for a premium, nutrient-rich blend with season-long performance allays choose signature Gwen’s Mix, our most comprehensive custom soil blend.

Can I create my own mix, AND EVEN IN OFF SEASON ?
Yes. We offer a wide variety of soil amendments for you to choose from, to add to any of our blends, or to create a whole new blend of your own creation. You can call us at 503-550-7733 to get a quote.
Five (5) cubic yards is our minimum order for any customized mix and we can only use our bagged amendments. We will need 7-10 day notice, and full order prepayment.
For all new soil batches, customized or not, or any large soil or dry/ wet amendment orders over 14 yards or a truck load orders during our off season hours, a full payment is required.
If you “ CONFIRM YOUR ORDER” with us digitally, via email or text, your order and deposits you have made prior, will be considered as “scheduled for delivery or pick up”, and non-revocable and non-refundable. Customer is fully responsible and liable for the entire payment after commitment in any form of electronic communication with the Worm Farm Portland, Inc.
Can I get a discount on a bulk order?
Yes. At The WFP, we work closely with our customers to find soil blends and amendment options that fit both their growing goals and their budgets. Whether you are a home gardener, vineyard, farm, landscape contractor, or commercial grower, we are committed to providing practical solutions tailored to your project.
Discounted pricing may be available for larger bulk purchases, full truckload quantities, and recurring commercial orders. The amount of any discount depends on the products selected, order volume, delivery requirements, and overall project scope.

How far do you deliver?
The WFP proudly delivers throughout the entire state of Oregon and to many locations in southern Washington. Whether you are ordering soil for a home garden, vineyard, farm, commercial property, or landscaping project, we will work with you to coordinate the most efficient delivery option.
To receive a delivery quote, simply contact us with your exact delivery address and the products you are interested in purchasing. We will promptly provide an estimated delivery cost, the earliest available delivery date, and an approximate two-hour delivery window whenever possible.
Delivery pricing varies depending on distance, order size, site accessibility, and the type of products being delivered. Our team is always happy to help you select the best delivery option for your project.
How far in advance should I place my order?

The amount of advance notice needed depends on the size of your order, the products selected, and the time of year. Many of our standard soil blends and amendments are kept in stock and may be available for same-day pickup, although availability can vary by season.
For larger orders, custom blends, or deliveries, we strongly recommend contacting us as early as possible to confirm product availability and reserve your preferred pickup or delivery date. Advance scheduling is especially important during peak gardening and planting seasons, when demand is highest.
Our team is always happy to discuss your project, provide current lead times, and help you plan your order to ensure a smooth and timely pickup or delivery experience.
Worm Farm Portland Inc. accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards only. We do not accept Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or any other similar platforms, and we would NEVER request such forms of payment from our customers.
